Social Events

Throughout the year Wesley Grove UMC offers various events to bring together friends, family, and church members. Some of our most popular events are listed below:

  • Recipe Exchange
    • Several members of the church made their favorite recipe ranging from appetizers to main courses to desserts and brought them ready to serve after our 11:0o worship service. Individuals that attended the worship service were able to stop by our Fellowship Hall for delicious food and great conversation. In addition, copies of recipes were made available so attendees could take home new recipes to add to their weekly menu rotation.
  • LuLaRoe Multi-Consultant Sale
    • LuLaRoe is a clothing line that is comfortable, fashionable, and affordable. It has become very popular among women of all ages, therefore, Wesley Grove UMC welcomed over 10 consultants to set up their racks of clothing (dresses, skirts, tops, leggings, etc) where the community could peruse, try on, and purchase their favorite items.
  • Pilates Class
    • A member of our church is a certified Pilates instructor and offered an outdoors beginner class that was open to the community and church members of all ages. Attendees were exposed to the benefits of Pilates including posture, core strength, balance, and flexibility.
  • Holiday Pinterest Party
    • Right before the holidays the Fellowship Hall is transformed into a crafting center where all are welcome to bring materials for projects they have found on Pinterest. These can be projects such as wreaths, Christmas decor, or non-holiday related projects that we’ve been meaning to complete but never dedicated the time to it. Christmas music, hot chocolate, and delicious snacks are served for all to enjoy while they craft.
  • Soup and Stew
    • During the cold winter months Wesley Grove UMC enjoys offering a Soup and Stew after our 11:00 worship service. Several members of the church made their favorite soup or stew which individuals were able to sample and take home in to-go containers. In addition salad, bread, and beverages were provided for those wishing to have sit down lunch.
  • Spring Shopping Bazaar
    • In April Wesley Grove UMC opens up our Fellowship Hall to craft and direct sale vendors where they can sell their goods and services to the community, just in time for Mother’s Day. Music, raffle items, and baked goods are also provided to create a warm and welcoming shopping experience for all attendees.
  • Cookie Exchange
    • Once the Holidays are among us we all enjoy eating and sharing baked goods/cookies. Therefore, in order to prepare for the impending sweet tooth members of Wesley Grove UMC make their favorite cookies and exchange with each other after one of our 11:00 worship service.
